SSc8 – Light Pollution Reduction.
The objectives of SSc8 are to increase night sky accessibility, improve visibility during night and minimize the negative consequences that development has. LED indeed contributes to the reduction of lighting pollution. Particularly, choosing indirect LED fixtures and suitable lumen output for your project as well as considering lighting surfaces with low reflectance is the key to gaining the SSc8 credit.
EAp2 - Minimum Energy Performance.

EQc6.1 - Controllability of Lighting.
The main goal of this credit is to provide a high level of lighting system control in multi-occupant spaces and promote individual and group productivity, comfort and well-being. It is required that those spaces should have a lighting control and that 90% of the occupants in the building are able to control the lights. This credit can be gained by installing LED with personal dimming controls. This in turn results in saving energy as well as increasing overall productivity of individuals working in the area.
